Bloomington has seen its share of tragedy involving alcohol - that's the price of life in a college town, right? But it doesn't have to be.

Students are going to drink; that doesn't mean we should abandon them to their fate. Street Samaritans is an initiative to intervene, both in prayer and in physical comfort, on behalf of those whose behavior puts them at risk. In the name of Jesus, StreetSams offer water, flip-flops, blankets and a comforting presence to the bar-hop crowd in town.
